Before becoming an attorney, Raees established a well-respected business consultancy. During that time, he aided a failing medical business and successfully brokered its highly profitable sale. Additionally, Raees found key markets for a Bangalore-based manufacturer and developed a multi-million dollar 401k marketing plan for a prominent Wall Street investment bank.


In 2009, Raeesabbas Mohamed earned his J.D. and Certificate in Law, Science, and Technology from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Upon graduation, Raees was a senior Graduate Fellow for the Innovation Advancement Program clinic at ASU, where he assisted law students advise local start-ups.

Being an entrepreneur, soon after law school, Raees founded a successful legal practice catering to start-ups, entrepreneurs and emerging businesses. During that time, he negotiated contracts with both the second-largest pharmaceutical company in the world and one of the largest universities in the United States; he also successfully spearheaded a multi-million dollar corporate divestiture and structured a multi-million dollar exclusive distributorship agreement on behalf of a US corporation supplying products to the Mexican government. During the foreclosure frenzy, Raees saved his clients from deficiency judgments totaling $2 million in the first-quarter of 2011 alone.

In addition to the fulltime practice of law, Raees is an Adjunct Professor of Law and Director of the highly acclaimed Innovation Advancement Program at the Sandra Day O’Connor College, where he teaches law students how to counsel local start-ups.

Raees is a dark chocolate connoisseur who loves cars, creating his own art and music, and talking to entrepreneurs.
